The Will Steger Foundation Advisory Board (Senior Advisors and General Advisors) are individuals who have an active relationship with the Will Steger Foundation and are making exceptional contributions on behalf of the organization.
Senior Advisors
Senior Advisors are influential individuals with significant capacity to raise the profile of the Will Steger Foundation; they share our mission and vision and provide support on issues critical to the Foundation’s success.
- Lois Quam. Quam founded Tysvar, a green business incubator which helps business startups in green energy and health care, and strengthens the transfer of technology between Minnesota and Norway. She was formerly the managing director of alternative investments at Piper Jaffray and executive vice president and president of United Health Group's Public and Senior Markets Group. She served as senior advisor to the Clinton Health Care Reform Task Force in 1993. In addition, she has appeared on Fortune's list of the “Most Powerful Women in America.
- Gayle Peterson. Peterson is the Senior Partner & Co-Founder of The Headwaters Group Philanthropic Services. Peterson has more than 25 years of experience in philanthropy, non-profit management, and public policy issues involving housing, the arts, community development, and environmental conservation. Peterson began her career in policy and later served as program director of the Great Lakes Protection Fund, executive director of the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy, and executive director of Milkweed Editions.
- Sheldon Strom. Strom is Executive Director, Center for Energy and Environment
General Advisors
General Advisors share our mission and vision, lend essential guidance to program development, website content, and promote Will Steger Foundation and/or Global Warming 101 programming within their communities and organizations.
