Friends and supporters welcomed the expedition back to Minneapolis in June before Will, Toby, Sarah and Eric took off for another exciting expedition – this time to Greenland with kites and skis!
Our upcoming Summer Institute for Educators in August is next on our horizon. Dr. James Hansen, leading climate scientist and Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies will be joining us for a series of events on Monday August 11th. He will meet with 75 Minnesota educators in the morning, followed by a youth leaders roundtable discussion, and closing with a dinner and policymaker forum at the Science Museum of Minnesota. In addition to Dr. Hansen’s participation in the Institute, we are lucky to have speaking commitments from Andrew Revkin, science reporter for the New York Times and Don Shelby, Project Energy host and WCCO-TV anchor.
