ATTENTION Please be aware this curriculum resource is currently being revised to be current and to connect with next generation science standards. The revised resource will be available in August 2014. The older version is still available to download until that time.

These six interdisciplinary lesson plans were edited and approved by National Geographic Xpeditions and Union of Concerned Scientists, are standards-based, and help students master the requisite background information on global climate change processes, the importance of the Arctic to global climate, the potential effects of global warming in the Arctic, and consider what could/should be done in response. They link to exciting Global Warming 101 expeditions and are free for download.

We also provide additional resources to supplement the existing Will Steger Foundation Curriculum. Resources include links to external sites that contain helpful related information and activities, and clips from the Will Steger Foundation video and audio archives that can be connected with specific lesson plan topics.
