Spring is finally upon us! It's a perfect time to get your class outside with their journals and make some observations as Minnesota "wakes up." It is maple syrup time and we wanted to share this video about how the industry is changing that we came upon a few weeks back.

Only 25% of America's teens received a passing grade on their knowledge of climate change in a poll conducted by Yale University. Survey your class to see how they compare to these national statistics, and encourage them to share what they are learning with their peers in order to increase teens' knowledge of this subject.

YEA!MN and MPIRG youth had a very successful lobby day at the Capitol last week. Watch the video recap of the event for another great example of youth action. Stay posted for information on the YEA!MN youth summit in early May! This day will be an opportunity for students to share action projects they are working on in their schools and community.

It is not too late for Parks Climate Challenge teachers to apply for funding for transportation or submit grant applications. Don't let the school year end without taking advantage of this excellent opportunity! Please, please, please contact us with any ideas or questions about ways to spend your grant money.

We are still looking for your feedback on the Minnesota's Changing Climate curriculum. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey.

Enjoy the spring weather!
